So the white crap is falling from the sky for the first time this season. I still dont have my winter attire.
I've never had to buy winters before so any advice you guys have is great. I've tried looking at craigslist and its just kind of a pain in the ass. Town Fair Tire which is down the street from my house will price match and this is what I found on Tire Rack
with two kids and a house, I need to keep the cost to a minimum which is pretty much how I arrived at the above selection. What do you guys thinks? Can you beat that price. I spent the second half of last winter on the summers so i'm thinking any winter package will be better. I'm not looking for top performing tires, just something to keep me on the roa at a good price.

You should really get another set of wheels as well. Cheap black steelies work just fine. Un-mounting and re-mounting tires isn't great for the bead-seal.
It also makes it easier to change your car's shoes as you don't need to pay for someone to mount and balance tires to your wheels twice a year.

That's the plan.

Town faire did mine last year for about $700. That was steel wheels, the ones just above cheapest tire and installation. Never had snow tires before so not sure how that is as a deal but they frickin kicked ass.
